Cut the tip of the cartridge taking
care not to damage the thread. Apply nozzle and cut cleanly at
an angle of 45' with an opening slightly larger than the gap to
be sealed. Apply by using a standard sealant gun. Best results
will be obtained by keeping an even pressure on the gun trigger
and keeping the gun at a constant angle to the surface being
sealed.
Smooth down within 10 minutes of
application. To ensure a roper bond, always smooth the sealant
down using a spatula or piece of wood wetted with a soap and
water solution. An improved appearance can be achieved by
placing masking tape to both sides of the joint and removing
with in 5 minutes of application.

Apply Gun A Nail to one side either
in strips or daubs. Position the object to be fixed, then move
from side to side and simultaneously apply pressure to achieve a
bond. If the object is wrongly positioned, slide it to the
correct position. Finally apply maximum pressure for a short
time, (up to 1 minute). Wipe away any excess with a damp cloth
making a neat joint between the two bonded surfaces. Temporary
mechanical fixings may be required for heavy objects until full
bond strength is reached.

Application
1) To bond flat panels direct to
walls.
Apply as a bead approx 6mm in
diameter around the periphery of the panel (50mm from the edge)
and in horizontal lines approx 450mm centres. Immediately press
the panel firmly to the wall surface to ensure adequate transfer
of the adhesive and leave to set. A firm bond is achieved in 1
hour.
2) To bond stair nosing
Apply adhesive to the stair nosing
only. 2 or 3 beads may be necessary depending on the size of the
nosing. Immediately press the panel firmly to the wall surface
to ensure adequate transfer of the adhesive. It a higher initial
bond strength is required, press the nosing into position and
then pull away to affect the adhesive transfer. Allow adhesive
to dry apart for 5 minutes before pressing finally into
position. Allow to dry for 24 hours before subjecting traffic.

Application
Cut the tip of the cartridge taking care not to damage the
thread. Fix nozzle, cut aperture to required width and apply
with a standard sealant gun.
As a nail replacement (panel) adhesive.
-
Surfaces must be sound, clean, dry and
free from dust, grease, loose material etc.
-
Prime dusty surfaces with EVERBUILD PVA
BOND diluted 1:4 with water and allow to dry.
-
Apply using a standard sealant gun, cut
tip of cartridge, apply nozzle and cut an opening to
suite the required bead
size.
-
For bonding heavy items
(Plasterboard/worktops/wall panels etc) apply adhesive
all the way around the edge of the
item (30-50mm from edge) and cover back
with beads of adhesive at 300mm intervals.
Alternatively, apply adhesive
direct to battens and press into place.
NOTE.
-
With heavy items, always provide
temporary support until the adhesive dries.
-
For bonding lightweight items (covings,
dado rails, skirting etc) apply adhesive to back of item
in one or two continuous beads and press immediately
into place.
-
Where gap filling is required, mark the
areas where there is a large gap and apply a thicker
bead to these areas.
In all cases, clean up excess adhesive
immediately with a cloth/white spirits.
As a
sealant
Reference should be made to the recommended
joint ratios. If necessary reduce joint depth using
Everflex Expanding Foam, or Joint backer rod. Furthermore,
ensure that the joint design only permits adhesion to two
surfaces, as three sided adhesion will impair flexibility.
Where the sealant is used in a joint
configuration, masking tape should be used to prevent
contamination of adjacent substrates, and ensure a neat
sealing line. Masking tape should be removed immediately
after tooling. The joint should be tooled within 5 minutes
of application to ensure good contact between the sealant
and the substrate. Tooling of the sealant also gives a
smooth, professional finish.
Fixing mirrors
Apply
6mm diameter beads of sealant direct to back of mirror in
vertical strips, spaced at 30-40mm centers. Immediately
place mirror in position and secure with good, even pressure
with a slight twist action. Provide temporary support (tape)
until adhesive has dried (24-48 hours). If required, STIX-ALL
may also be used to seal around mirror 24 hours after fixing
(to allow for cure)
Uncured material can be removed by wiping
with a dampened cloth with white spirit. Cured material can
be carefully removed by mechanical means. Full cure must be
allowed before over painting.

Storage

containers between 5'C and 25'C. Shelf live of 12 months in

foams in aerosol form, (applicator guns available). The foam
expands on application to up to 50 times its original volume and
expands on application by 150%.
Once cured, the foam can be cut, sawn or plastered over after
only one hour providing the working temperatures (can and

Application
ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES.
Shake can well before use (about 20 times).
For the FILL AND FIX PRODUCT, carefully fix
nozzle. Do not overtighten or force.
ALWAYS USE CAN UPSIDE DOWN. For GUN GRADE,
tighten securely into one of our range of guns.
Only partially fill cavities as the foam will
expand to fill the remaining space. Any excess foam can be
removed whilst still wet with EVERFLEX FOAM CLEANER. Cured
foam must be removed mechanically. When used for fixing door
frames, supports must be used until the foam is fully cured.
Please note:
When transported in cars, keep in boot, out
of direct sunlight.
When removing cured foam from skin, take care
not to damage with abrasives.
Grease skin with body lotion or similar.
IMPORTANT – Re-use is only possible by
cleaning the nozzle and valve tip with EVERBUILD DUAL
PURPOSE FOAM CLEANER before the foam has cured. Do not push
any object into the valve as the contents may explode.
|
Storage
Store upright between 20 and 25oC Pressurized
container. Protect from sunlight and do not expose to
temperatures above 50oC. Do not pierce or burn the
can even after use. Store as flammable liquid.
Note: Elevated temperatures will reduce shelf life dramatically. |

Fire Mate Sealant
FIRE MATE is a five hour rated, one part,
emulsion acrylic based, intumescent Acoustic sealant that
gives a firm yet flexible seal to joints in a variety of
fire rated structures. Tested following the principles of BS
EN 1366-4:2006 as detailed in Warrington Fire Research
Report No. 181967 (May 2009). Acoustic rated to BS EN ISO
140/3. Tested for air permeability to EN13141-1. The
product, in suitably designed joints will resist the passage
of fire for up to 5 hours. The selected fillers used in this
formulation also make it suitable for use as an acoustic
sealant. Product has a service life expectancy in excess of
25 years

Application
The surfaces to be must be clean, dry and
free from dust, grease and other contaminants.
Improve adhesion by wiping surface allowing
all solvent to evaporate before applying sealant. Priming is
generally not required, although we always advise testing
small areas prior to use. Large voids should first be filled
to maximize fire rating.
Cut the tip of the cartridge taking care not
to damage the thread. Apply nozzle and cut at an angle of 45o
with an opening slightly larger than the gap to be sealed.
Apply using a standard sealant gun. Best results will be
obtained by keeping an even pressure on the trigger and
keeping the gun at a constant angle to the surface being
sealed. To ensure a proper bond, always smooth the sealant
down with a spatula or piece of wood wetted with linseed oil
or white spirits. An improved joint appearance can be
achieved by placing masking tape to both sides of the joint,
removing within 5 minutes of application
Single seal joints should be on the fire
rated side of the structure.

Storage

and protect from frost.
